The
Treadway Park Re-Dedication Celebration will be on
Saturday July 4, 2009, from 10 AM to 1 PM. This historic park will be re-dedicated to the
city and open to the public.
Guest speakers will include:
Bob Crowell, Carson City Mayor, to present a proclamation
Guy Rocha, former State Archivist, to talk about the early history of Treadway Park and "Farmer" Aaron Treadway
Phil Earl, Nevada Historical Society Curator of History Emeritus, to talk about Camp Clark
Jo Saulisberry, VP, CC Park Foundation and Trustee of Carson Tahoe Regional Health Care, to talk about how the property has come to the City
Roger Moellendorf, City Parks Director, to talk about the future of Treadway Park
Ed Epperson, President & CEO of Carson Tahoe Regional Health Care, to talk about the hospital's role
Pete Livermore, City Supervisor, will be the Master of Ceremonies
A plaque and monument will be dedicated.

Aaron Treadway was a prominent citizen in Carson City's history. Our Mayor has issued a proclamation
making July 4, 2009 "Aaron D. 'Farmer' Treadway Day" and here it is:
Aaron Treadway was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1815. The Mayor of Middletown, Sebastian N. Guiliano,
has graciously sent us a proclamation making July 4, 2009 "Aaron D. 'Farmer' Treadway Day"
