That Jazz....January 24, 2009
Winter Wine & All That Jazz is the premier fundraising Gala for
Carson Advocates for Cancer Care.
CACC celebrates
a fourteen years of this great evening. Dance, wine tasting, and
hors d'oeuvres will be featured. The Winter Wine Gala is to be held
in the elegant ballroom at the
Carson Nugget Casino
in Carson City, Nevada.
Wineries and
vineyards from across the west will pour a rainbow of flavors - reds,
whites, ports, desert wines, sparkling wines, and blushes. And some new
favorites will be there too....
Ticket prices -
$30 in advance, $35 at the door. Call (775) 883-7477 for info on

The 2008 Gala
Winter Wine & All That Jazz was a great success. Wines aplenty, as well as
the new craze, Sake, were poured to everyone's satisfaction and the
munchies were good. Rosenblum Cellers of Alameda, CA took the
People's Choice Award, and not for the first time either. Other
interesting pours were from Frances Ford Coppola's winery, Cleavage Creek
(I love that name) and our own Tahoe Ridge Winery. A good cause and a good
time was had by all!
In 2008, Maxine & Fred said "Where were you? You missed a great
evening! Mark you calendar for January 24, 2009 so you don't miss it
again!"
